HR Manager - Manufacturing
An award winning manufacturing business is seeking a HR Manager for its site in Co. Meath. Reporting to the Group HR Director, the HR Manager will provide hands on comprehensive generalist HR business partnership to the leadership teams with focus on employee relations and employee engagement. They will be a key member of the site leadership team working with fellow leaders to drive the site HR forward and deliver business success.
- Support and conclude employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary, absence management, welfare and performance management cases and ensure they are dealt with in accordance with employment legislation.
- Coach and guide HR colleagues with ER and case management as required.
- Ensure employee comp and bens are appropriate, in line with legislation, market and company standards.
- Maintain communications with agency labour providers to ensure standards are maintained and compliance is in place.
- Attend regular meetings with the UK HR Team to provide updates, share knowledge and work collaboratively on initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and current knowledge or employment law, advising managers of any appropriate action in respect of legislative changes and updates.
- Interpret and advise on employment matters to enable mangers to act appropriately from both a legal and ethical compliance perspective.
- Support site succession planning and identifying talent.
- Support the delivery of internal and external professional development course, apprenticeship and graduate programs.
- Support the Group Talent Acquisition Specialist to enable sourcing of candidates for professional roles.
- Maintain and improve the onboarding process for all new starters including recruitment, T&Cs, inductions etc.
- Ensure all employee data is maintained accurately and line with GDPR either within personnel files or within electronic HR data bases.
- Ensure all payroll activity is effective, accurate, legal, and compliant.
- Provide HR reports as required.
- Support initiatives at site that support engagement of colleagues and improve morale of teams.
- Oversee the sites values awards scheme.
- Develop initiatives at site for employee wellbeing.
- Actively participate as a member of the sites extended leadership team to make critical business decisions and support other leaders with information and guidance on people matters to help them make accurate and informed decisions.
Requirements:
- CIPD or equivalent experience.
- Experience within a similar role.
- Able to support change, influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation.
- Competent using computer-based packages.
- Proven experience coordinating/leading HR initiatives.
- Challenges the status quo to suggest new ideas/ways of working.
