Our client, a leading Irish food producer, is seeking a Business Development Executive to join their established team in Kildare.
Full time, permanent role
Hours of work: 8.00am - 5.00pm Monday-Friday

The Business Development Executive will become an integral part of a high powered international sales team to actively promote and market products and added-value services to a global customer base.
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the sales turnover and growth for nominated customers/prospects within predetermined markets
Develop marketing strategy and sales plans
Possess key account management skills including the preparation and submission of a yearly sales budget for relevant sectors/customers and provision of monthly commentary of actual sales performance vs. budget
Generate new sales and to maintain/grow volumes with existing customers
Maintain regular contact with the customer and respond to all customer requests in a timely and professional manner
Work within your team to assess target markets, identify & profile potential prospects and gather intelligence on customers and competitors
Active member of the project team in relation to NPD
Monitor and refer quality complaints and audit requests to the QA Technical Group for active follow up.
Attend and present at external customer meetings
Attendance at relevant trade shows
Experience:
Ability to think strategically and work in a team environment
Proven customer management skills and a positive attitude to dealing with people
Confident negotiator and ability to close the deal
A strong commercial inclination
Excellent communication verbal & written
Ability to work to own initiative
Good administrator with ability to prioritise and multitask
Attention to detail
Efficient and effective organisational skills
Ambitious, team player with proven project management capabilities
Willingness to travel
