We have an exciting opportunity for a Chemist to join a new global R&D hub for a global drinks business based in West Dublin. You will be part of the NPD team responsible for innovation of new products, formulations, specifications, and brand integrity. 

The company currently has a highly successful portfolio of global drinks products. This new R&D / NPD team will be located in Dublin West and this team will join a Global team based across Europe, Australia and Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Support Product Development teams in the delivery of new product innovations and value engineering opportunities
• Chemical quality analysis/assurance of products
• Ensure microbiological safety of products and general food safety
• Lead analytical activities and investigations linked to complaints, quality and co-packer issues
• Lead continuous improvement related to testing and analytical capabilities
• Manage capital purchases and maintain a three-year plan
• Maintain records and provide analytical reports for all projects, testing and investigations.
• Ensure Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) is followed

Experience:

• University Degree/Diploma in Chemistry/Biochemistry or Food Science
• Strong laboratory and analytical experience
• Knowledge in Food and Beverage Chemistry and Analysis
• Practical knowledge in Microbiology, Analytical chemistry and Food Safety
• Ability to interpret and analyse data, prepare reports & recommendations
• Superior organization, time management skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and manage multiple project
• Fluent in English
• Good knowledge of regulations
