The main purpose of this role will be to support the site with the implementation & maintenance of the Business Excellence Programme and to be the expert on site for CI related topics and act as a change agent for the Business Excellence Programme (CI programme).
Responsibilities:
Maintain communication with CI stakeholders and Management across the business, building positive relationships with all departments
Build an excellent working relationship with the Operations teams to ensure that the continuous improvement programme is being implemented
Work closely with the Food safety team to ensure that CI activities are completed in line with food safety guidelines and that any issues are communicated effectively
Build and develop a strong and effective working relationship with the HR and people development team, ensuring that all CI learning and development activities are part of the overall people development strategy
Develop relationships at all levels within the business through effective coaching and mentoring and participation in the training and competency assessment of colleagues
Coach & mentor problem solving teams through the problem solving process, using appropriate tools & problem solving techniques
Facilitate workshops on site to support implementation of elements & tools of the Business Excellence Programme
Conduct analysis of company data to determine top loss & identify potential improvement projects
Liaise with site management to identify & resource potential improvement projects
Execute complex or multi-site improvement projects using the Lean & Six Sigma methodologies
Train, coach & mentor Six Sigma Green Belts, Yellow Belts & Problem Solving Teams
Conducting layered Audits, assessments and meetings
Ensure that there is strong communication between the sites with sharing of learnings and alignment/standardisation of practices
Key Skills and Experience needed:
Relevant third level qualification
3 years relevant work experience Previous CI experience Experience in the dairy industry
Strong numeracy and literacy skills
Lean and / or Six sigma certification
Knowledge of statistical data analysis
Train the Trainer qualification
Project management certification
Knowledge of standards, equipment and/or processes within a production or manufacturing environment
Knowledge of safe working practices and what constitutes a safe place of work
Knowledge of equipment and processes within the food / dairy production environment
Good communication skills
Strong desire to make improvements
Able to display own creativity & initiative
Able to work unsupervised
Able to work as part of a team
