Domestic Operations Manager – Global Drinks Business

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the World’s leading Global drinks groups. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain this will manage a high performing team. 


The purpose of this role is to lead the team, manage the third-party warehousing and distribution operations for the Republic of Ireland, providing best in class customer service as well as managing costs and maximising efficiencies for repack operations, overseeing Purchase Orders (PO) for imported Domestic portfolio, Point of Sale (POS) Logistics, staff deliveries and customer sales.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Closely monitor resource management levels with 3rd party operations.
  • To manage all third-party contracts, ensure efficient capacity utilisation and business reviews.
  • To manage the warehousing and distribution annual budget.
  • To ensure accurate Inventory reporting takes place, monitor cycle counting reports and stock counts.
  • Ensuring Customs & Excise monthly returns, breakage reports and stock counts are timely and accurate.
  • Work closely with the demand planning manager to work to an optimal stock level to support sales. 
  • Organise additional external warehouse space as required.
  • Ensure daily and weekly service level reports e.g. returns, carrier breakage’s, uplifts, proof of delivery (POD) exceptions, the safety stock (SSR) report, Stock Data report, are reported.
  • To oversee Repack Operations in the third-party logistics warehouse. 
  • To oversee Purchase Orders and Supplier Performance for Imported Products.
  • Ensure POS items are available. 
  • Review processes to improve efficiencies and reduce administration.
  • Be aware of loss and waste within the area. At all times work to reduce and eliminate waste and identify opportunities to improve business processes.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • A qualification in Supply Chain management or suitable equivalent.
  • 2-3 years’ proven people management experience
  • IT proficient re Systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes 
  • Strong analytical skills to input and track annual budgets.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to organise own daily work and be flexible to adapt to changing demands and time pressures.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong business relationships e.g. third-party logistics providers, commercial Ireland, finance, planning, bottling & warehousing.
  • Understanding of all key Customs & Excise requirements.
