Logistics & Stock Controller

We have an excellent opportunity for a Logistics & Stock Controller to join a leading Food Manufacturing Business, based in Co. Tipperary.

This is an opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding company, joining a highly motivated team, to develop and improve systems of work.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager.

Full-time, permanent position.
Competitive Salary with an Annual Bonus and Pension Scheme.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the key customers and develop strong professional relationships with them to deliver value for the enterprise.
  • Capture and deliver on-time reports supporting agreed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Challenge the status-quo within the supply chain and highlight potential areas to improve right across the business.
  • Support the Management Team with timely and accurate information supported by an in depth understanding of the drivers behind the data
  • Support the annual budget and planning processes for the business.
  • Lead and develop a robust in factory stock control system, including a scanning base inventory system for the management of stock and despatch of product.
  • Provide support to the sales and marketing function through the provision of accurate real time stock reports.
  • Lead scheduling meetings and work closely with the production team providing sales forecasts to the production teams.
  • Liaise with the quality and production team to support customer requirements.
  • Liaise with customers to provide regular updates on production, stocks and despatches.
  • Manage stock control providing regular and accurate stock balances and stock age reports.
  • Manage off-line and downgrade product stock control providing regular and accurate stock balances and stock age reports.
  • Work closely with customers, linking all company functions including sales, finance, production and quality.
  • Work closely with customers to arrange product allocation, despatch and provision of the necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist in the commercial function and sales.
  • Attend customer meetings, trade fairs and sales events in Ireland and abroad.
  • Work with existing and future IT companies to enhance the functionality of the existing and future stock control and despatch systems.
  • Capture and deliver on-time reports supporting agreed Key Performance Indicators.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • This role requires a self-starter who has the ability to hit the ground running and who will deliver value to the business from the outset.
  • The role requires the successful candidate to work as part of a team, focusing on business improvement and cost saving.
  • The role requires a highly motivated individual with the desire to automate and improve current systems of work.
  • IT skills.
