Project Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for assigned engineering projects within a team of engineers across a number of sites in Ireland. 

Salary and fully expensed car available. 


  • Execute project schedules in conjunction with the Engineering Projects Manager. 

  • Manage project budgets including cost projections, costings, contingencies and spend and commitment tracking. 

  • Manage contractors on assigned engineering projects with particular focus on health and safety.

  • Complete and refresh all training specific to role as and when required.

  • Manage individual projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Responsibility for the preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.

  • Prepare project status reports for review by Engineering Projects Manager.

  • Continuously review safe systems of work and create, update, and implement relevant work instructions / procedures. 

  • To design, specify and manage the installation of Operational projects as specified and required due to production, safety, or environmental requirements.

  • Diligent safety and technical process design and adherence.

  • Convert technical requirements into realistic and achievable action plans.

  • Support day to day Operations activities including providing technical advice and solutions.

  • Mentor and support student and graduate engineers within the team. 

  • Represent the company in meetings with authorities and public bodies where technical support is required.

  • Operational Discipline and Process Safety.


The successful candidate:

  • Primary degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or industrial engineering. 

  • Health and Safety qualification to NEBOSH certificate level or higher.

  • At least three years of relevant engineering experience.

  • Experience in Project management.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project). 

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise.

  • Strong numerical ability, good technical report writing and presentation skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, can-do attitude, and team player.

  • Willingness to learn and be flexible.

  • Experience of working in a demanding and safety focused area.

  • Ability to communicate with Key Stakeholders relevant to all assigned engineering projects.

  • AutoCAD experience is desirable.

  • A full clean EU driving/UK driving licence is essential.
